Atefeh
Atefeh Bagherianziarat (Ph.D.) is a postdoctoral researcher at the Czech Academy of Sciences, working across the Department of Sociology and the Department of Philosophy. Her research focuses on the social implications of digitalization, particularly how digital technologies shape experiences of inequality, autonomy, and subjective well-being in contemporary societies. She is involved in several national and international projects, including Research of Excellence on Digital Technologies and Wellbeing (OP JAK), Dynamics of Overeducation in Europe from a Social Stratification Perspective (GACR), and HOLDEN-CARE (Horizon Europe). Atefeh holds a Ph.D. in Sociology, with research exploring the multilevel dynamics between classic and emerging forms of capital — including economic, social, cultural, and digital capital — and their relationship to well-being. Her work combines critical and empirical approaches to social justice, with a current focus on how digital transformations both reflect and reshape experiences of subjective well-being across Europe.
